Seven Months! What?!?

July 30th, 2020

Sean is seven months. I can’t believe I just typed that. Here is a look at the past month.

Baby milestones: He is crawling! I mean he lays on his stomach like a snake and uses one foot to grasp the floor and kick himself forward. He is able to make it from the living room to the dining room in less than two minutes, though, so I am counting it. Not quite sitting independently yet though.

Describe the month in one word: Summer. This month has been classic summer, with a social distancing twist. We have gone swimming in a pool in our backyard, for so many walks, did a mini staycation, went for a hike, had water balloon fights, at s’mores, watched fireworks from our backyard, went for bike rides, the list goes on and on.

Happiest memory: Probably swimming in the pool in the backyard. It feels like a lifetime ago (the Fourth of July), but swimming just made it feel like summer. Plus it was Sean’s first time swimming.

How I am feeling: Grateful. Like me again. I am reading books, working out outside of the house, eating great food, getting good sleep. I am still kind of burned out, but just grateful. Even though the virus is still here and will likely be here for a while, I am grateful things, like school, are starting to open again, even if it is just temporary.
