Five Months!
June 1st, 2020
Sean is five months and we are gearing up for summer around here! Here is a look at some of our best moments from the past month.
Baby milestones: Sean does this weird crunch all the time where he lifts the top half of his body off the floor while laying down in an attempt to sit up. It never works, but he is trying so hard! He is also starting to get his first teeth and trying solid food.
Describe the month in one word: Emerge. The big kids finished home school. We start “at-home” summer school this week. We are also beginning to come out of quarantine (technically the state moved to phase 3 of reopening this past week). My mom comes over occasionally to hang out (in the backyard). We went to drive-in church.
Happiest memory: Going for walks. The weather has been so nice. It has felt so good to be active and get all the kids out of the house regularly.
How I am feeling: If I am being honest, a little burned out. I love this age. It is one of my favorite. But it is also one of the hardest. Sean still isn’t sleeping well (this includes going to bed, sleeping through the night, and napping; it is all bad). It makes it hard to hang out with Mike, or the big kids, or cook dinner. On top of it, I have a couple of big work projects coming up. They are really fun projects, but all of it is just … a lot.
